Are you curious about energy with Balinese wisdom healing and the chakra system?
In Balinese philosophy and Yoga, the human body is a sacred reflection of the universe. It is a cultural wisdom not only in one religion. In this page, I will explain from little ayurveda perspective, another page will explain from TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine). This energy understanding is rooted in Panca Maha Bhuta, the five great elements that form all existence: Earth (Pertiwi), Water (Apah), Fire (Teja), Air (Bayu), and Ether (Akasa). These elements live within the body, shaping our physical health, emotional balance, and spiritual awareness. It correlates with environmental conditions, natural elements such as trees and stones, human-made structures, and the cosmos. True well-being arises when these five elements energy are in harmony.
When we speak about energy, we are also speaking about emotion, because emotion literally means energy in motion. Emotion is not something abstract or "just in the mind." Emotion lives inside the body, moving through nerves, breath, organs, hormones, and subtle energy channels.
When energy moves freely, the body feels light, alive, and responsive. When emotion is suppressed, denied, or judged, energy slows down or gets stuck—and the body begins to speak through tension, pain, fatigue, or illness.
Many people were never taught to choose how they feel. Instead, they were taught to:
- Ignore emotions
- Rationalize them
- Or only discuss them when they become overwhelming
Without awareness, emotions unconsciously shape posture, breathing patterns, digestion, immunity, and even life decisions.
The moment we choose to feel, name, and listen to emotion, energy starts to move again. This is where shift happens, not by force, but by harmony.
Harmony means within ourselves and with universe. This perspective aligns naturally with the chakra energy system, which maps the flow of energy through the body, nature and Universe. It aligns with our spine and various anatomical structures in the body.
It correlates with the weather, the presence of trees and stones, the structures we inhabit, and Antariksa, the realm of the stars and the cosmos.
Through self-awareness, we begin to recognize that these outer conditions are not separate from us. The way the weather affects our mood, how natural landscapes bring calm or vitality, and how the spaces we live in shape our thoughts and emotions all reflect an intimate relationship between the inner and outer worlds.
When we cultivate self-awareness, we learn to listen to the body as a living landscape, responding to heat and cold, expansion and contraction, movement and stillness. We learn it in yoga in Bali. We become conscious of how imbalance in nature often mirrors imbalance within ourselves, and how restoring harmony internally can influence how we relate to our environment.
This awareness invites us to live more intentionally: choosing spaces that nourish us, honoring natural rhythms, and recognizing that we are part of a greater cosmic order. In this state, the body becomes a bridge between earth and Antariksa, grounding us while simultaneously opening us to a deeper sense of connection, presence, and meaning.
